When and where you began playing, and why this sport?
"He took up the sport at age six in Karatsu, Japan, and began competing seriously in grade two of primary school at Nanayama Monkeys in Japan. His parents played badminton recreationally and introduced him to the sport."

Sporting awards / Honours (so far)?
"In 2018 he and his partner Keigo Sonoda received the Most Valuable Player Award for the Badminton S/J League in Japan. In 2017 he was given the Kozuki Sports Award by the Kozuki Foundation in Japan. In 2014 he received the Saga Prefecture Sports Honorary Award in Japan."

Sporting ambitions?
"To win a medal in the men's doubles event at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo."
